The Youth Infringement Festival (YIF) understands that your privacy is important. As such, we make great efforts to ensure that the personal information you share with us remains private and is not sold, traded, rented, or disclosed to any other organizations or individuals. This information is only made accessible to authorized personnel (ie. Festival Producers, the General Manager, the Board of Directors, etc.), and will only be used for purposes that directly contribute to the festival’s operations.


Mailing List:

Individuals who agree to receive the latest updates and upcoming opportunities from YIF can unsubscribe at any point in time, and may update their information by contacting: info@youthinfringement.ca.


Donations:

YIF will not share donors’ identifying information without first attaining those donors’ express consent.


Photos/Videos:

YIF will not share photos and videos of participants for promotional purposes without first obtaining participants’ express consent. This consent is typically sought at the beginning of the rehearsal process.


A repository of previous years’ photos and videos is only accessible to authorized personnel.


Photos, videos, and other media shared by participants and patrons are not regulated by YIF.


Event Attendance List:

YIF will not share the names of individuals who participate in events (workshops, auditions, social gatherings, etc.) without first obtaining those individuals’ express consent.


Rehearsal Schedules:

YIF will only share rehearsal schedules with individuals officially affiliated with the festival, including mentors, dramaturges, and authorized personnel (ie. Festival Producers, the General Manager, the Board of Directors, etc.).


Vaccine QR Codes:

YIF continues to check for proof of vaccination prior to entering events (2x minimum). This practice is purely precautionary; no medical or vaccine information is retained by the festival.


Third-party platforms:

Privacy concerns relating to ticket purchases should be directed to: https://www.eventbrite.ca/support.


Intellectual property:

Playscripts submitted to YIF for consideration will only be shared with mentors, dramaturges, and authorized personnel. Should a playscript be selected for production, it will be shared with directors, stage managers, cast members, and crew members. Playscripts will not be shared for other purposes without the express consent of the playwright.


Copyright:

All data associated with YIF (including but not limited to text, photographs, graphics, images, illustrations, audio and video clips, logos, etc.) are protected by copyright as a collective work and/or compilation under the Canadian copyright laws, international conventions, and other copyright laws.


Reproduction, modification, publication, transmission, framing, misuse, transfer, sales, or distribution of the Content of the Site is prohibited unless prior consent is obtained from YIF. 


Notices and/or credits on content published (footage, images, logos, etc.) must not be removed.
